Finance Manager (growing SME)

Based: Swinton area

Salary: highly dependent on experience. Hybrid working, 25 days + stats rising to 28, staff discounts, close down on Xmas Eve and NYE (extra holidays) and much more

Our client is an exciting business who are now one of the UK's largest specialist companies in their industry. With a recent acquisition last year and further planned for the future alongside setting up a new European business within the group, this is a great opportunity for someone to join and be a part of the company growth. Working under a strong Finance Director you will have the opportunity to grow with the business, offering future progression in your role.

We are looking for a strong Accountant/Finance Manager either part-qualified or qualified who is keen to work in a fast moving, ever changing, exciting environment

Role:

  • Management of a team of 2 junior staff ensuring transactional duties completed, overseeing the finance function and its efficiencies
  • Producing monthly management accounts and management information for the board
  • Identifying variances to budget, forecast and prior year across 3 businesses in the group
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations including expenses control
  • Assisting in producing annual budgets alongside FD
  • Management of intercompany invoices and recharges
  • Quarterly VAT returns, reporting and annual P11D submissions
  • Managing year end audit process
  • Supporting Finance Director with ad-hoc projects and driving efficiencies in finance

Experience:

  • ACCA/CIMA part qualified OR qualified (study support provided)
  • Previous role as a Finance Manager/Financial Controller with staff management experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with Directors and Senior Management
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adaptable to change
