Our client is a leading service provider based in the Chorley area. A business who are passionate about their staff, values and providing a fantastic service they are looking for a likeminded individual to lead and develop their finance function internally. The business are growing rapidly looking to double headcount over the next 12 months and embark on a number of projects to support their growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager/Financial Controller with experience of working within SME’s to see progression to Finance Director in the future, actively supporting the rapid expansion of the business alongside the Managing Director sitting as part of the senior management team

Role:

• Managing finance across multiple entities by ensuring accounting processes and controls are in place
• Managing 1 member of staff with future recruitment for the finance department
• Working with Operational managers weekly and monthly to ensure commercial understanding and budgets are implemented and delivered
• Developing the finance team including implementing processes, procedures and growing the team with recruitment of new staff
• Preparing monthly management accounts and monthly MI packs including cash flow and balance sheets
• Producing monthly bank reporting and responding to any queries
• Preparing forecasts and budgets for internal and bank requirements
• Implementing financial plans and models in relation to new projects, cost management and bank funding arrangements
• Managing financial risks, business partnering with all sites to ensure financial controls are in place
• Analysing margins and any contributors that will affect performance, making recommendations and taking action
• Regular reviews and evaluations across sites for cost-reduction. Maintaining internal costs and expenditure controls
• Assisting in preparation of draft year end accounts to be submitted, ensuring statutory filing is met
• Overseeing all transactional, payroll and tax requirements managing 1 team member

Experience:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified OR finalist with a desire to qualify
• Experience working in a hands on, SME environment
• Proven experience implementing controls within finance and leading a small team
• Proven senior stakeholder exposure, senior management team exposure desirable
