Finance Manager
Based: Chorley
Salary: Up to 50k, highly dependent on experience, 25 days plus stats and hybrid working

Our client are a leading manufacturing business based in Chorley. The group has grown organically and through acquisition over the last few years and is now looking for an experienced qualified Finance Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The role will be looking after a small team in finance reporting into the Group Finance Director managing finances.
Role:

• Producing monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary on budget variances - presenting in monthly meetings
• Producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Identifying and proposing continual improvement to drive efficiencies and streamline processes
• Working closely with site teams offering support and guidance as appropriate, adhering to all policies
• Implementing high level reporting to ensure site level finance tasks are completed accurately including credit control, cash management and ledger work
• Quarterly VAT returns ensuring full compliance
• Working with the auditors to complete annual statutory accounts and supporting in annual audits
• Ensuring compliance with bank reporting requirements
• Building relationships across the business and involvement in projects surrounding new systems
• Managing a team of 4 staff ensuring work is completed at all times
• Managing the payroll function and 1 payroll team member

Experience:

• CIMA/ACCA qualified or finalist
• Strong management skills
• Strong communication skills to develop stakeholder engagement
• Advanced excel skills and analytical mindset
