Finance Manager

Finance Manager

Based: Bolton area

Salary: highly dependent on experience. Excellent opportunity to join a growing business offering strong commercial exposure at board level.

Our client is a leading £30m turnover service business based on the outskirts of Bolton who has experienced huge growth over the last 5 years. With further ambitious growth plans over the next 5 years through business growth and further acquisitions, they have created a new role for a Finance Manager to support the Finance Director with all things finance but also taking the business forward with implementation of new processes, systems and working with the board to drive growth.

We are looking for a strong people manager/leader with strong experience in finance, ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified. You must be confident in your approach, able to communicate at board level and have a desire to progress and assist with business growth

  • Managing a team of 5 including regular team meetings, 1-1's and ensuring they are working to deadlines
  • Team training and staff development
  • Producing monthly management accounts including commentary and analysis
  • Presenting numbers and accounts to board of Directors
  • Working with the Finance Director to review, change and implement processes internally across finance and other departments
  • Involvement in various ad hoc projects including acquisition processes
  • Ensure balance sheet is fully reconciled
  • Cash flow forecasting and detailed reporting
  • Responsible for budget process, re-forecasting and presenting information to the board
  • Overseeing production of statutory accounts and dealing with auditors
  • Assisting with credit control, purchase ledger and invoicing when required

Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA/CIMA/ACCA
  • Experience working within a growing SME
  • Confident, experience in finance and strong communication skills at board level
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to influence
