Finance Manager

Finance Manager

Based: Ulverston (1-2 days office, 3-4 days home working), reduced hours 4 days can be considered

Salary: highly dependent on experience, excellent benefits including private healthcare, DIS, enhanced pension 6%, retail discounts, 25 days holiday rising to 30 days and 2pm Friday finish

Our client is a rapidly expanding, global business extremely well-known for their innovative products and services they provide to their customers in various industries. This role sits within the UK business which is fast progressing after quadrupling in size and turnover in the last 10 years. The role is a newly created position to support the Head of Finance as number 2 in finance with a specific focus on day to day finances and projects for growth

We are looking for a qualified/part-qualified Accountant who has experience as an Accountant/Finance Manager

Role:

  • Providing accurate cash flow forecasting and reports to support monthly management reporting pack
  • Ensuring bank accounts and petty cash accounts are reconciled on a regular basis
  • Monitoring debtors and ensuring debt collection procedures are followed by the team
  • Monitoring cash balances including management of foreign currency needs
  • Responsible for financial aspects including payroll, HMRC, pensions and other deductions are paid on time and correct
  • Tax - ensuring all customs and excise activity is recorded and filed correctly
  • Ensuring reconciliation and payment of any excise duty and import VAT
  • Ensuring business is compliant with respect to corporate fraud and the prevention of criminal facilitation of tax evasion
  • Dealing with queries from HMRC, Customs & Excise, Auditors and Tax Advisors (training provided)
  • Ensuring systems and processes are compliance with regulations

Experience:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA part-qualified/qualified
  • Experience with tax essential
  • Knowledge of reverse VAT, customs & excise and current tax regulations required
  • Strong attention to detail and confident in wider business communications
