Finance Manager

Finance Manager - progressive SME

Based: Oldham

Salary: up to £55k dependent on experience, bonus, benefits including 25 days + birthday off + bank holidays

Our client is an expanding e-commerce business based in the North Manchester area. The business has doubled turnover in the last 2 years and is continuing to grow in a fast-moving industry with their 3 year strategic plan aiming to take them to European leader in their industry and double turnover again in that time. Having placed a number of people in the business over the last 2 years, we are now looking for an ambitious, technically experienced finance professional to act as number 2 in finance under the CFO. This role will have full accountability for cash, statutory financial reporting and financial planning activities with the company embarking on an exciting period of change with future involvement required in an ERP system project

Role:

  • Responsible for all record to report, statutory financial reporting and financial planning activities across the business
  • Management of small finance team (1 person) and function
  • Overseeing all banking and treasury activities
  • Delivery of full month end process including management accounts
  • Managing finance risk and controls framework
  • Budgeting and forecasting, working with stakeholders internally to influence non-finance
  • Supporting management of external relationships including banks, auditors, HMRC etc
  • Reporting and financial analysis to the board
  • Providing support on commercial & financial decision making
  • Assisting with future delivery of re-platforming and ERP system project

Experience:

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified OR finalist OR QBE
  • Management accounts prep, audit and VAT exposure essential
  • Ambitious, adaptable to change and keen to progress in a growing business
  • SAGE experience desirable, strong Excel skills essential (including VLOOKUPS, filters and more)
