Finance Director / Finance Lead

Established yet growing UK Ecommerce business based Birchwood / Warrington

Salary - Up to £85k dependant upon experience (Bonus & Competitive Benefits)

Full Time - Hybrid working and Flexibility available

Experienced Finance Lead required to join a fantastic Privately owned Ecommerce business established in 2018 and already experiencing phenomenal growth.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be a highly analytical and commercial Finance Lead capable of overseeing the companies financial planning and accounting operations whilst managing cross functional projects and leading strategic change across the business.

Key requirements

• Establishing targets, developing budgets, and performing financial analysis.
• Technical financial projects to deliver liaising closely with the Directors.
• Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.
• Perform regular financial analysis.
• Develop budgets that meet the requirements of company departments.
• Establish targets and manage all accounting and finance employees including management accountants and internal auditors.
• Supervise all audit and internal control processes.
• Prepare detailed reports on the company's financial performance.
• Guarantee compliance with financial laws and guidelines.
• Recognise patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.
• Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.
• Positively impact and influence internal stakeholders and external partners;
• Uphold the brand and company values

Candidate specification

• You will have a minimum of 5 years experience in Financial Management from a commercial setting
• ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
• Experienced at working at Board/C Suite level
• In-depth knowledge of accounting software, corporate principals, and financial analysis.
• A strategic thinker, who is confident with managing complicated cross-functional projects and influencing change across senior stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Analytical skills and the ability to understand and interpret data
• Awareness of current and emerging best practice within retail finance and ability to makes recommendations to the business
• Commercially minded - strong focus on business development and growth with ability to work towards metrics and targets
• Intellectual and emotional intelligence in balanced / equal measure
• Are a subjective thinker in terms of ideas, following your instinct, but you'll be used to using internal/external data to underpin your ideas with confidence
• You are independent and self-directed but able to work and lead a team of creative individuals
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to persuasively sell ideas
• A quick learner who can process lots of information and prioritise action
• Effectively navigate and collaborate cross-functionally
• Are an outcomes focused manager, with strong team orientation
