Finance Business Partner

South Manchester - Investment & Acquisition

Salary - up to £60k (Dependant on experience & Qualification)

Benefits - Competitive benefits package + Hybrid & flexible working

Expectation that you will travel to client sites x2 days per week - Company car provided

Well established and rapidly growing acquisitions and investment group based in South Manchester are looking to secure an ambitious and experienced Finance Business Partner to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a number of the businesses that make up the growing portfolio of 35 existing businesses. Based from South Manchester, you will work closely with each of the portfolio businesses across a variety of different industries to generate real value through sustainable growth.

Summary of the role

  • Working closely alongside the company's appointed non-executives with responsibility for a portfolio of subsidiary businesses within the Group
  • Hybrid working but predominantly within the portfolio businesses with the balance at home/Head Office
  • Act as a key financial contact between the portfolio businesses and the Group head office finance team
  • Develop strong, trusted business relationships with key staff to provide support to the portfolio businesses

Specific duties includes

  • Assist with onboarding new acquisitions into the group including:
      • Group reporting requirements
      • New finance facilities
  • Review of monthly reporting including:
      • Monitoring of forecast cashflow/headroom
      • Financial covenant compliance
      • KPIs
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Assist with audit/tax issues
  • Attend portfolio business board meetings
  • Provide interim support for key positions (Financial Director/Controller)
  • Assist with recruitment of roles within portfolio businesses
  • Special projects including Capex appraisals, acquisitions, refinancing etc

What does the right candidate look like?

  • Full or part-qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic and willing to learn
  • Comfortable with autonomy, travel, and diversity
  • Diplomacy
