Job Description:

My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Team Leader to join a expanding legal sector business. As the Cyber Security Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and availability of data while acting as a key interface for cyber security throughout the company. Your leadership, analytical abilities, and in-depth knowledge of our relevant services, and Service Management processes will be essential in ensuring the environment is secure, the business protects its infrastructure and company and customer data.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Cyber Security Team, including resource allocation, quality review of team activities, and adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Develop and manage the Security cloud migration process, identifying and addressing any gaps to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Conduct performance meetings with team members to provide guidance and support.
  • Proactively manage complaints and escalations, taking pre-emptive action to address issues before they escalate.
  • Oversee the development, management, and maintenance of the Firm's IT services' security, collaborating with third parties to ensure patching, vulnerability resolution, and system hardening.
  • Create and update security support documentation, including processes and procedures, to enhance the effectiveness of the support team.
  • Collaborate with various departments within the IT Department to ensure the security of infrastructure during system implementations, maintenance, and monitoring.
  • Lead the team in a demanding environment, providing constructive feedback and fostering individual and team growth.
  • Serve as the escalation point for security incidents, both during and outside regular business hours.

General Duties:

  • Operate within an ITIL V3 & ISO27001 focused service delivery framework.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Adhere to defined Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in leading or team-leading a technical security team.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, developing, and implementing Azure security-related technologies.
  • Excellent understanding of infrastructure and application technologies, including Server 2012+, ESX/VMware, Messaging (Exchange 2016+), IIS, SQL 2012+, Linux appliances, architecture and OS, back-up technologies, Citrix, and Cisco networking.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, such as SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering.
  • Thorough understanding of security approaches, including ISMS, risk analysis and assessments, the CIA triad, attack vectors (including social engineering), cryptography, confidentiality issues, and cyber security incident response best practices.
  • Proactive mindset, continuously seeking areas for improvement and sharing lessons learned with colleagues.
