Credit Manager

Based: Heywood

Salary: up to £40k dependent on experience. 25 days holidays + stats, benefits

Our client is an award winning business within an exciting, niche sector offering an unrivalled service globally. The business has grown from strength to strength and is a complete leader in their field. To support the finance team, we are looking for an experienced Credit Manager to join on a permanent basis. Reporting in to the Financial Controller, you will have full responsibility for Credit Control, looking after a team and being responsible for making and streamlining efficiencies internally

Role:

  • Ownership of the Credit Control function.
  • Managing a small team of Credit Controllers, setting KPIs, regular appraisals and training.
  • Responsible for managing all AR function, circa 1500 customers. Dealing with escalated queries as required.
  • Managing AR across multiple ledgers and entities including multiple currencies - fully maintaining customer accounts
  • Developing controls over the end to end AR process including credit limit reviews, new client set up, debt escalation with senior management
  • Managing credit control helpdesk, responding to internal and external queries promptly
  • Creation of new metrics/KPI's to utilise in staff appraisals to measure development and drive performance
  • Providing reports and timely information on sales and debt to the Financial Controller
  • Work closely with the Group FC to continuously deliver process improvements and efficiencies across the department

Experience:

  • Experienced Credit Manager with substantial staff management experience
  • Experience of metrics and KPI's
  • Proven experience in process improvement and creating/streamlining procedures
  • Proven ability of working to a high standard and deadlines
