We are recruiting a credit controller for a young and ambitious company based in Wigan, with a generous starting salary up to £23,000 and a monthly bonus structure. This is a great opportunity for someone who is energetic and competitive, wanting to make your mark on the finance function. Whilst based in Wigan, there is also the opportunity for hybrid working, splitting the week with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
The position is centred on providing great customer service, maintaining and creating strong relationships with external stakeholders to ensure reliable cash flow into the company. As the company continues to grow, there will be the opportunity to progress into a senior position.
Our client has expanded quickly over the past 12 months and is looking to appoint a specialised employee to focus on cash collections to allow continual re-investment into the company.
An ideal candidate for this position is someone with existing experience of credit control or debt collection with a flair for conversing via phone. The role involves the following:
- Contacting customers, chasing overdue payments
- Managing down debtor days and building relationships
- Communicating via phone and email with customers
- Assisting the sales ledger clerk with data entry and invoice queries
- Maintaining the debtors ledger, ensuring all details are up to date and accurate
- Producing reports in Excel for management
The team is collaborative and continually looking for ways to improve internal processes. This is therefore a great position for someone with ideas and ambitions that aren't realised in their current role.
