Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a part-qualified or qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA finance candidate for a Cost Accountant position in a local manufacturing business. In order to be suitable for this role, we need applicants to have at least 5 years of experience in finance alongside experience with costings and a manufacturing background.
Who will I be working for?
You'll be working for a market-leading business who support the energy and infrastructure sectors.
You will report to the Regional Financial Controller and work within a close-knit and supportive finance team.
What's the role?
The role is a Cost Accountant. You will be responsible for manufacturing accounting and finance, looking after month-end, budgeting and forecasting.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Getting involved with month-end: preparing journal entries, explaining month, quarter and year to-date income statement results versus prior budgets and forecasts.
- Analysing and presenting cost centre performance information with key stakeholders
- Managing the allocation and transfer of costs to projects,
- Assisting in the preparation of departmental budgets and forecasting
When and where will I be?
You will be based in the office in Burnley, but the company offers hybrid and flexible working.
