Business Development Manager

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: ManchesterSalary: £40000 - £60000 per annum

Business Development Manager

Based: Manchester (North UK travel)

Salary: highly dependent on experience, car allowance, generous bonus scheme plus excellent benefits

Our client is a well-known, leading service provider based in the Manchester area. The business are a joint venture between two hugely successful companies, with a large number of UK contract wins they are continuing to grow and diversify into new markets

This role will be responsible for identifying new business development opportunities in line with the business strategic plan. You will develop and nurture long term relationships with key/target clients to secure new business. It is essential you have experience within transportation, Health & Welfare, Defence, Justice of Central Government to be considered

Role:

  • Converting new and warm leads into business opportunities across a range of services including transportation, public sector, central government, armed forces & defence
  • Managing sales opportunities of various duration, sizes and complexities from big to negotiation process
  • Supporting in the development of the wider business strategic growth plan
  • Working with the MD and Exec team to develop business strategy and annual business planning
  • Identifying new markets and customers in order to expand and diversify the business
  • Representing the business at industry conferences and networking events to build long term relationships for future
  • Pipeline analysis and CRM management
  • Collating and providing updates on market information - understanding and analysing competitor information
  • Gap analysis to develop proposals to position the business as the chosen partner

Experience:

  • Experience within transportation, Health & Welfare, Defence, Justice of Central Government markets across the UK is ESSENTIAL
  • Experience building commercial relationships to deliver excellent service to customers
  • Determined self-starter with experience of working with senior stakeholders and Exec teams
  • Strategic business development experience with strong communication skills
