Assistant Management Accountant

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: BurySalary: £28000 - £35000 per annum

Role: Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Bury, flexible/reduced hours considered - 30-40 hours/4 day week
Salary: Up to 35k PLUS study if needed plus excellent benefits including 29 days holiday plus bank holidays

Our client based in Bury are a leading business with a fantastic track record and exciting growth plans, they are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team, reporting into the Financial Controller and Portfolio Finance Director. You will be responsible for a variety of duties including budgeting, forecasting and looking at where the business can improve on all financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Fixed asset register management, calculation and posting of depreciation and amortisation charges
  • Calculating and posting accruals and prepayments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Variance analysis and commentary for monthly board packs
  • Head office overhead cost splits across the 2 trading companiesAnnual Budget & quarterly Forecast preparation for review by the Financial Controller
  • Completion and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Production of flash reporting figures for both Employment Solutions and ES Steel
  • Cash flow forecasting, including assisting with new tender cash flow forecasting for construction contracts.
  • Liaison with company auditors during on site audit visit and subsequent requests for information
  • Assisting with the implementation of a replacement Pay & Bill system for payroll/invoicing function.
