Are you a Management Accountant looking to take the next step in your career?

Our client is a well-known, leading retail business who have experienced rapid growth for the last 10 years. Diversifying into numerous new markets, they are a market leader in their industry with plans to continue offering further products and services across all their divisions. We are currently looking for a hands on Assistant Finance Manager to join the team, this role will look after 2 direct report and full management accounts for a business division.

Role:

  • Responsibility for ensuring accurate financial information is provided within the divisional management accounts
  • Leading a team of 1 direct report (4 indirect), leading monthly forecast variance meetings on behalf of the team
  • Contributing to wider monthly management accounts production for the business division, managing stock, GRNI and supplier income
  • Producing detailed aged analysis of stock for all divisions across multiple systems
  • Reconciling P&L postings to forecast and explain variances, business partnering with Operations
  • Analysing drivers behind cost of sales and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting Finance Manager in all aspects of divisional finance
  • Reviewing current working practices looking to improve where possible - undertaking various projects when required

Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant with post qualified experience
  • Experience of leading a small team before, able to develop staff
  • Driven and a constant desire to improve processes
  • Experience with stock and advanced Excel skills would be highly beneficial
