Salary - up to 25k PLUS study support
Location - Blackpool

Our client is a fast growing company based in Blackpool. Due to recent growth and acquisition my client is looking for an Assistant Accountant to play a key part in the finance team assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Payroll and Audit.

Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will be ambitious and keen to progress through the finance function. This role will provide study support towards ACCA/CIMA qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assistant with preparation of monthly management accounts
• Month-end accounting, including accruals, prepayments, journal postings
• Monthly Revenue Release, reviewing to ensure accuracy
• Maintain of Fixed Asset Register and depreciation postings
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Daily bank reconciliations
• Cashflow forecasting in multi-currency
• Credit card statement reconciliation and postings
• Monthly payroll preparation, including expenses and commission calculations
• Support on preparation of annual P11D's, PSA Returns and R&D Claims
• Support on preparation of VAT returns
• Preparation of ad hoc reports
• Support Management Accountant with internal and external audit
• Support with budgeting and forecasting

Desirable experience:

• Hold a finance related degree or be AAT qualified (or equivalent) with desire to work towards ACCA/CIMA (Full study support and mentoring provided)
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication skills
