Role: Assistant Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant
Salary: £28,000 Depending on experience
Our client is a market leading and reputable organisation offering an excellent opportunity for an assistant accountant to join the finance team. An ideal candidate will have over two years of experience in a similar position. For this role, qualifications are less important than experience, however a qualification in AAT is advantageous. The office is based in central Bury, providing an ideal location for commuters, in immediate proximity to the tram link, train and bus.
What does the role involve?
This position involves producing monthly management accounts to balance sheet and P&L level, working as a larger team and individually. This would be an ideal position for a senior accounts assistant / assistant accountant who is looking to further their career and produce management accounts, whilst still receiving support and guidance.
- Balance sheet reconciliations/prepayments and accruals calculations
- Submissions for VAT and PAYE
- Year-end processing of accounts
- Producing a range of reports using Excel
- Managing internal and external relationships
- Ad hoc support of the transactional finance team and assisting in internal audit

- A candidate who is AAT qualified ideally (not essential)
