Accounts Assistant

Our client is looking for an Accounts Assistant with immediate availability to work in Bolton. An ideal candidate will be studying AAT and have experience in Sage and Excel.

Our client is looking to expand its finance team and is looking for an accounts / finance assistant who can work quickly and accurately independently and also as part of a team.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently or within a team and hit the ground running.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing sales and purchase ledger invoices
  • All areas of purchase ledger
  • Support with the preparation of management accounts and month end duties
  • Excellent computer literacy including Microsoft office and SAP
  • Strong understanding of excel (Pivot Tables and Look ups)
  • checking of ledgers and correct VAT treatments
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Complete credit card reconciliations
  • Confident and articulate communication skills
  • Create reports
  • Daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Collecting monthly direct debits and making payments
  • Raising monthly invoices
