Accounts Assistant (Purchase Ledger & Payroll)

Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk (w/Payroll)

Location: Bolton

Salary: Up to £27k

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our client's finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of supplier invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Accurately and efficiently process supplier invoices, matching them to purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Supplier Relations: Communicate with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies and address any queries in a timely manner.
  • Payment Processing: Assist in the preparation of payment runs and ensure payments are made on time.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all purchase ledger transactions.
  • Month-End Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier statements and assist in month-end closing procedures.
  • Assisting with Payroll Administration and acting as holiday cover for payroll.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
