Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk

A very rare opportunity has become available with our exclusive client based in Preston, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a finance team of 20. This is a newly created position due to changes within the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for flexible/reduced hours! My client is open to anyone looking to work around school hours of even do a 4 day week. Ideally you will have experience of the below:

  • Liaise with Site support department and other commercial staff to resolve queries on purchase orders
  • Request proof of deliveries when necessary.
  • Complete receipting in the system.
  • Invoice processing on a timely basis to minimise delays with payments.
  • Process payments through the BACs system
  • Checking of supplier records.
  • Statement reconciliations.
  • Deal with internal and external queries.
  • Assist with VAT returns, chase VAT receipts.
  • Raising sales invoices
