Accounts Assistant

Role: Accounts Assistant

Location: Bolton

Salary: £19,000 - £26,000 – Open to trainee and experienced candidates

Our client is a growing and successful business based in central Bolton who are looking to bring an accounts assistant into their close-knit team. Placed by Four over 10 years ago, the finance director is looking for someone with a willingness to learn and strong communication skills. We are able to teach on any areas you lack experience in, with the most important thing being attitude to work.

We are open to both experienced accounts assistants looking for a new challenge and open to those looking to kickstart their accounting careers- with study support on offer.

As the accounts assistant, you will work alongside the FD completing a varied range of accounts tasks, including the following:

• Bookkeeping tasks – purchase and sales ledger
• Chasing overdue payments assisting with credit control
• Data entry and invoice processing
• Assisting in the processing of company payrolls
• Assisting in VAT returns
• Assisting in month end close
• Working with seniors for year end

• Strong attention to detail
• Working well independently and as part of a team
• Meeting strict deadlines
• Confident written and verbal communication skills – able to communicate with colleagues and external parties to the business
