Pay Bracket: £21,000 - £24,000

Location: Trafford Park

Our client is a fast-moving consumer goods manufacturer, distributor and brand owner who are quickly growing and are looking for someone to join their finance team as a Credit Controller.

Reporting directly into a very experienced and supportive Finance Manager, this role will involve being responsible for all credit control duties and delivering accurate and efficient credit control service as well as building and maintaining relationships with clients to ensure smooth running of accounts.

Key Tasks

  • Open and distribute post
  • Post incoming cash from banking facilities to debtor's ledger
  • Process card payments from customers
  • Set-up of new customers and amend details of existing customer when changes arise
  • Send monthly statements and engage with customers regarding payment dates
  • Management of data on customer EDI portals
  • Any other tasks required by the business.

An ideal person for this position will have the following attributes / skill set:

  • A strong interest in working in finance, and recent experience of working in transactional finance.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
  • Organised and efficient with an ability to prioritise tasks as needed and work autonomously.
  • Motivated to solve problems, be adaptable and have excellent communication skills.
