Job Description:

As a 1st Line Support Analyst, you will work closely with the Site IT Lead and the European IT team to provide hands-on and proactive support for infrastructure and application-related activities. You will serve as the first point of contact for user queries in the UK and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems in alignment with company requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line user support, assisting colleagues onsite with technical issues.
  • Train users in the correct usage of their computer systems.
  • Communicate efficiently to resolve end-users' problems promptly.
  • Assist in identifying trends related to IT failures and issues.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and deliver prompt user support.
  • Maintain accuracy of system documentation and asset database.
  • Support the deployment of new software applications and updates.
  • Troubleshoot relevant equipment, including PCs, laptops, wired and wireless LAN, AV equipment, and more.
  • Support the delivery of IT projects in line with business requirements.
  • Repair, image, and configure new and existing equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain relevant systems to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Manage user access and permissions effectively.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong interest in IT with a desire to grow in the role.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and Office 365 Suite.
  • Good understanding of Outlook and Active Directory.
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks (DHCP, DNS, etc.).
  • Technical mindset with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
  • Basic understanding of PC hardware and software.
  • Excellent communication skills in person and over the phone.
  • Positive and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team.
