Based: Manchester (hybrid working - 1 day office)

Salary: highly dependent on experience, 25 days holiday + stats and further benefits

Our client are a leading services business based in Manchester. One of the worlds largest, privately owned businesses in their sector, they have been established over 150 years. Now global, operating in over 12 countries they continue to grow rapidly with new acquisitions and organic growth across the world. Due to their growth, they require a strong Finance Analyst to join the team who will provide a critical role in defining and enabling business change.

This role will be the Project Lead for a large business division, working closely with Group on the European side of a global SAP implementation.

Role:

• Working between finance and IT to enable continuous improvement to all SAP systems across 8 countries
• Working as Project Lead for European finance, liaising with group Head Office on roll out
• Capturing accurate and reliable information to represent business performance and metrics
• Supporting ongoing strategic projects, delivering operational process improvement
• Implementing and managing system controls and change management across finance
• Reviewing and maintaining financial systems policies, procedures and process mapping
• Designing, implementing and maintaining financial/system controls focusing on quality assurance over financial data
• Maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery procedures across finance systems
• Supporting with system integrations for new company acquisitions, mergers and global upgrade projects
• Driving integration and implementation of new systems including ERP and BI systems
• Managing system upgrades and delivery schedules with the IT department
• Trouble shooting and resolving finance related system issues
• Evaluating system performance, implementing improvements
• Configuring SAP system settings to meet business needs including new reports, new cost centres etc.
• Training and supporting wider finance team on new procedures and system roll-outs
• Leverage business intelligence and data transformation software to enhance and streamline processes
• Ad hoc projects required by the senior finance team

Experience:

• Experience of implementing an ERP system is essential. SAP/SAP S4Hana highly desirable
• Experience working on a large change or upgrade of an ERP system essential
• Experience working in project and BAU environments
• Advance software, Excel and IT skills
• Significant financial analysis and process mapping skills - essential
• Qualified Accountant essential
