Interim Head of Finance (12-15 months)

Based: Burnley area

Salary: up to £80k dependent on experience + benefits + strong exposure in the role

Hybrid working, 12-15 month contract role (start date August/September but no later)

My client are a well-known, established a hugely successful business based in the Nelson area. One of the UK's largest providers in their industry they are forward thinking in their approach, technology and passion for their people this is a really great opportunity for someone to gain wide ranging exposure

Role:

  • Leading a team of management accountants responsible for financial accounting, control and overheads reporting and a team over revenue - developing and progressing the team
  • Financial reporting, management accounts, group submissions and board reporting
  • Cashflow reporting, reviewing cashflow forecast to ensure variances are explained
  • Business partnering with key stakeholders providing financial support and analysis to aid decision making and drive profitability
  • Key input to budgeting and forecasting ensuring alignment to business objectives
  • Driving improvements across team to ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost control
  • Working with the FD on ad-hoc projects including improving cost centre reporting
  • Assisting wider business on transformational programme including new system implementation and improving processes/procedures
  • Working with Head of Transaction Services to streamline and improve working capital and cash management

Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, minimum 5 years post qual experience
  • Strong leadership and people management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with senior executives
  • Ability to build and enhance financial models
  • Strong cash management/working capital exposure
  • Analytical and strategic thinking, able to address financial risks and opportunities
  • Delivering multiple projects to strict deadlines and strong attention to detail
