Accounts Assistant
Location: Swinton, North Manchester
Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 dependant on experience
9 month fixed term contract- maternity cover

Our exclusive client based in Swinton are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their well established, but growing team on a 9 month fixed term contract. This is a very varied position with the opportunity to take on more responsibility as the company grows and the team expands.

Reporting into the Management Accountant, your duties include:

  • Overseeing purchase ledger - matching, batching, coding of invoices including payment runs
  • Maintain the fixed asset register
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with payroll (calculate weekly wages prior to being passed on to be processed)
  • Petty cash reconciliations
  • Posting journals
  • Supporting the wider team at month end
  • Ad hoc assistance on projects/holiday cover


The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Friendly, approachable personality
  • Available immediately or on a short notice
