We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a successful and growing retail SME based in Worsley. This position is initially a 6 month interim contract, however there is the possibility of long term opportunities for the right candidate. This business offers flexible start and finish times, as well as a hybrid working opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business, our client has been trading for 14 years and has significant growth in revenue every year. To reflect this, the right candidate will need to be a team player, and be energetic and passionate about growing the business through supporting the accounts team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Multiple bank account and credit card imports, posting and reconciliation ensuring all items fully reconciled for month end
  • Posting supplier invoices for overheads and stock purchases
  • Allocating payment to invoices and keeping the ledgers clean
  • Setting up weekly payment runs
  • Dealing with Chinese suppliers and setting up international payments
  • Intercompany recharges and postings
  • Handling staff expense claims
  • Assist with cash flow completion
  • Completion of week KPI data
  • Assist the management accountant with month end close down
  • Assist with year-end audits

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 1 years' experience in a similar role
  • At least part AAT qualified - this role will provide study support to assist in the completion of AAT
  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience of working in a retail business, specifically ecommerce is preferred
  • Experience of Xero Accounts is preferred
  • Experience of payroll processes is advantageous
