Fundraising At Four

As part of my varied role here I also like to continue the work that we have done over the past few years with various local and national charities. In November 2011 we organized a quiz for Children in Need, where we gave our Lancashire-based clients the opportunity to enter a team, in return for a small donation to Children in Need and the opportunity to win some great prizes and of course to have a few laughs. Run For Your Life

As one of our aims as a business is to support as many charities as possible the girls from Four have decided to embark on the Manchester 5K race for life, taking place at Heaton Park in Manchester on Sunday 10th July. This may not sound like too much of a challenge but with a range of abilities running-wise to contend with it most definitely is!! Claire, one of our Directors, whilst being a decent cross country runner at primary school hasn’t done very much since, except for a few lengths of the Trafford Centre!! Having enjoyed entertaining clients throughout another season at the Reebok Stadium there was no hesitation on our part in wanting to again sponsor the Players player of the year award. It was a chance for us to join in celebrations with the Wanderers, to celebrate their reaching of the FA Cup semi final at Wembley along with some excellent individual performances and another season in the Premier League. Four Financial host charity cup

With World Cup fever in the air we decided there was not a better time to stage our own mini version. Businesses from across the Lancashire area entered their teams with the hope that their chosen charity would benefit from all the money raised on the evening. All the teams that took part paid an entry fee with the winning team taking 75% of the money raised and the team that finished second taking the remainder of the prize pot. As Patrons of Bolton Lads & Girls Club we were very pleased to be asked to assist the Directors of the club with the appointment of a new Finance Officer. Our association with the club over the past couple of years has helped us build relationships with many high profile businesses in Bolton and we were looking forward to the challenge of finding a suitable candidate for such a well known and worthy local cause. Bolton Wanderers – Matchball Sponsors

We jumped at the chance to sponsor our first Matchball for the Bolton v Aston Villa game on the 25th of April. We had a brilliant day, the hospitality at Bolton Wanderers was fantastic and we look forward to doing something similar next year, just hope for a better result, the game was a 1-1 draw. Kidz2gether Christmas Party

After meeting with Steph and Jackie from Kidz2gether we decided to put on a Christmas party for the children they look after. We managed to convince Father Christmas to make a special appearance despite his busy schedule, which helped make it a great day for all involved. Bolton Kidz2gether is a charity for the Bolton area launched in 2005. Their aim is to support and introduce children and young people between the ages of 5 & 16, within mainstream education who have social and/or communication difficulties (autistic spectrum disorders) into inclusive social settings.
