Danny Nominated as Apprentice of the year

Posted on 19th July 2017

We are delighted to announce that our Danny – the youngest member of our team – has been nominated at the forthcoming Bolton & Bury Business Awards 2017 as ‘Apprentice of the year’.

Danny was nominated by the team in the ‘Apprentice of the year’ category. Since joining Four in 2015 as the companies first ever apprentice Danny has gone from strength to strength. He completed his apprenticeship early obtaining an NVQ in Business Administration, and was taken on by Four in 2015 as a full-time office administrator. Earlier this year Danny was taken on as Four’s youngest ever recruitment consultant.

Phil Sofield operations director explains:

“The role of a consultant requires a diverse range of skills, written work, business development, negotiating, customer service and many others. Danny takes all this in his stride and does so with a smile on his face.

“He currently has the highest ratio in terms of vacancy to fill (he fills 80% of the vacancies he works on) in the company so far this year, this is quite incredible given how strong and experienced the team around him is.

“Danny is the first apprentice and the youngest person I have worked with, but, he would be right up there with the best of them. He is still only 20 and realises he has a lot still to learn, but if he carries on with the same level of dedication and talent, he has demonstrated, I have no doubt that he will go far, I see him running his own business in the not too distant future!

“As our first apprentice he has led the way. We are in the process of employing our second apprentice with plans to recruit more giving more and more young people the opportunity to start a career in recruitment (a career that traditionally calls for graduates) and it’s all thanks to Danny.”
